RECYCLABLES are listed as "Newspapers and all inserts, Magazines, steel cans, aluminum cans, Aluminum trays and
foil, glass jars and bottles, Plastic soft drink containers (PET) and similar containers bearing the number 1
logo, corrugated cardboard, box board (cereal boxes, etc.) fine paper (white), fine paper (coloured) computer
paper and plastics bearing the number two through six logo.

Failure to abide by the recycling rules will result in recyclables NOT being collected.
The Town and CAMI operate a SPECIAL WASTE DAY (Household Hazardous Waste) in June of each year. Please look for further flyers or advertising concerning special programs and/or new programs.
The Provincial Government has mandated that all municipalities in the province shall obtain a 50% waste diversion from landfill sites. We hope that this expansion of the program will help Ingersoll toward a higher percentage. Our 1999 percentage was approximately 28%.
The County of Oxford Landfill operates six days a week.

Garbage and recyclables will be picked up on the same day, but, Recyclables will only be picked up bi-weekly.
If your normal collection day falls on a Statutory Holiday, garbage and recyclables will be collected on the Saturday before the holiday Monday. |

Landfill Tipping Fees
Effective January 1, 2009 Oxford County Landfill tipping fees will increase from $60.00/metric tonne to $61.32/metric tonne. There is a $10.00 minimum and the site remains cash only!
Information
Branches and limbs will be collected provided they are in a "Bundle". A "Bundle" means "an assemblage of like material,
securely tied together. Bundles shall NOT exceed three feet in length or 40 lbs. (18 kg.) in weight". They must also
have a full "BAG TAG" attached.
