The Ingersoll District Nature Club is holding its 2nd annual photography contest! This year's theme is 'things that fly (naturally) in Oxford County'. The contest is open to all ages and runs until October 13, 2015.

Please be advised that Waste Management will be observing the *Canada Day Statutory Holiday Wednesday July 1st, 2015.*  Garbage and recycle collection in the downtown core only will move to Saturday July 4th 2015 in lieu of the July 1st Canada Day Statutory Holiday.

The Oxford Community Foundation is currently accepting letters of intent
for grant funding from community groups and individuals. Projects promoting
the arts, culture, physical activity or environmental stewardship may be
considered funding. The deadline to apply is June 30th, but late
applications may be considered. For more information on applying for

Starting September 14, 2015, Oxford County is changing its waste management program, offering better service for a lower cost, with a smaller environmental footprint.  Read more.


The Town/County will be installing new sanitary and storm sewers on Whiting Street, Culloden Road, Brickwood Blvd, Maple Lane and Clark Road. Also included in this work is the replacing fire hydrants and water services where necessary, reconstruction of the existing roadway, complete with sidewalks, curbs and asphalt.  Read more.
