Description

Served in the trenches of the Great War, the humble doughnut provided a much needed taste of home to battle-weary soldiers on the Front. Help us celebrate the doughnut and its role in a soldier’s life during our Doughnut Day event! Enjoy refreshments including coffee, tea and doughnuts, while listening to original recordings of war time tunes. Admission is $5.00 per person, with proceeds going to the restoration of the WWI era commemorative band shell in Memorial Park.

This event is presented as part of the Oxford Remembers Oxford's Own World War I commemoration project.
