If you are not on the Voters’ List, or if your information is incorrect you may apply to have your name added or your information corrected. Additions and corrections to the Voters’ List may be done until the close of voting day, however we encourage all electors to confirm their information on the Preliminary List of Electors through voterlookup.ca as soon as possible to ensure receipt of the vote by mail kit. By logging in to voterlookup.ca, a website owned by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, eligible electors can: Confirm or update their elector information;

Method of Voting - Vote by Mail |
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Ingersoll approved the use of an alternative voting method and vote tabulators for the 2022 municipal and school board election. The 2022 election will occur by mail in vote.
On or about September 26th, eligible electors will be mailed a vote by mail kit to be completed and returned through Canada Post no later than October 13th or to the Municipal Offices during business hours or the 24/7 drop box until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. See the ‘Vote by Mail’ section of this website for detailed instructions on how to complete and return your ballot. Other Options to Vote: In person voting for the 2022 Municipal and School Board election will take place on Monday, October 24th from 9:00 am to 8:00 p.m. at Ingersoll’s Municipal Office located on the second floor of 130 Oxford St. |

If a person is present at the Clerk’s office on Nomination Day at 2:00 p.m. and has not yet filed the nomination, they may file the nomination as soon as possible after 2:00 p.m.
On or about September 26, 2022 vote by mail kits will be mailed through Canada Post to eligible electors who are on or added themselves to the Voter’s List as of September 14th.
The final day to deposit the Return Envelope in the mail to ensure its delivery via Canada Post to the Clerk is October 13, 2022. Voters who fail to mail their return envelope by October 13th may still return their return envelope to the Municipal Office by the close of voting day on October 24th at 8:00 by depositing the envelope in the Continuous Drop Box located at the Municipal Office or by delivering the envelope to the Municipal Office during regular business hours.
Return envelopes containing the elector’s completed ballot may be returned until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, October 24th. The last date for ballots to be returned via Canada Post is October 16th, after which they may be returned to the Municipal Office or the Continuous Drop Box. Ballots will begin to be tabulated as of 1:00 p.m. on Election Day in the secure ballot counting location. Unofficial election results will be announced after the close of voting at 8:00 p.m. and once all ballots have been tabulated.

Third Party Advertisers |
A third party advertisement is an ad that supports, promotes, or opposes a candidate, or a “yes” or “no” answer to a question on the ballot. (Note, for the 2022 municipal election, there will not be any questions on the ballot.)
Third party advertising is separate from any candidate’s campaign and must be carried out independently from a candidate. Third party advertisers who wish to spend money on advertisements during the election must register with the Town Clerk and must file a financial statement. The registration period for third party advertisers commences on May 2, 2022 and concludes on October 21, 2022. The following parties are eligible to register as Third Party Advertisers:
