Next Month: How We Build
Coming Tuesday, April 7, 2026

Construction on the MURC begins in Summer 2026, moving forward in tandem with the Clarke Road Urbanization project.
While large-scale projects have many moving parts, and we can't plan for everything, our team has built proactive risk management and contingency planning into every stage. We’re on track for you to step into the new facility by Fall 2028.
For a closer look at our current progress and the full project roadmap, check out the infographic at the top of this page.
In this new building, you'll have access to a
- gymnasium and multipurpose spaces for sport, fitness, and community use,
- a walking track,
- a single ice rink with design capacity for future expansion,
- several community program and meeting rooms.
For visuals, check out the photo gallery we've labelled "Construction Corner".
Construction is underway for the Community Campus and Multi-Use Recreation Centre at Clarke Road and Harris Street in southeast Ingersoll.
We'll let you know as soon as fundraising is open!
For the MURC to succeed, we're planning our funding carefully.
We're committed to keeping you informed because public support is important for building new infrastructure - and, of course, we want you to be involved and have an opportunity to put your stamp on Ingersoll!
Before we look for private funding, we're finalizing the details so you have a clear idea of benefits.
We're also applying for federal and provincial grants to offset costs, and creating a residential plan to bring in more revenue and create long-term value for the community.
